They love to debate—

They love to debate—

so many arguments, so many clever words.

But have they ever sat in silence for hours

before our Eucharistic Lord?

Have they prayed to the Queen of Heaven

so fervently, so faithfully,

that she reveals herself as Mother?

Have they seen the veil part—

even for a moment—

and glimpsed the Eternal Exchange of Love:

the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit?

Have they contemplated the unfathomable love

poured out in Christ’s Passion and crucifixion?

Have they heard a saint whisper,

gently guiding their soul toward Christ?

Have they been saved by an angel

from a death nature had already set in motion?

Have they been lifted by the prayers of others

while trembling at the edge of chemo?

Have they watched the devil claw and snarl

as they stepped closer to God?

Have they had the chains of sin shattered

and walked out of confession free?

Have they felt holiness so palpable

it struck them like a physical force

when entering a sacred place?

Have they wept over the wounds of Christ?

Felt their heart warm at the sound of His name—Jesus?

Shared the stillness of prayer

with the sick or the dying?

Has their skeptical intellect bowed

before the weight of countless miracles?

Have they felt the Holy Spirit pressing them

to become something better, truer, holier?

Have they known the peace that wipes away trouble,

or the sudden joy Christ sparks in the heart?

I do not debate.

There is nothing to argue.
