(A chaplet of surrender and trust in Jesus Christ, King of the Universe)
1. On the Crucifix
Anima Christi
Soul of Christ, sanctify me.
Body of Christ, save me.
Blood of Christ, inebriate me.
Water from the side of Christ, wash me.
Passion of Christ, strengthen me.
O good Jesus, hear me.
Within Your wounds hide me.
Permit me not to be separated from You.
2. On the Big Bead
Our Father
Our Father, who art in heaven…
3. On the 10 Small Beads (alternate each bead)
Bead 1
Jesus,
King of the universe,
I surrender everything to You.
Bead 2
Jesus,
King of the universe,
I accept Your love.
Hold me.
(Continue alternating until all 10 beads are prayed.)
4. After the 10 Small Beads
Glory Be
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit…
5. Ending
Salve Regina
Hail, holy Queen, Mother of mercy…
Then stop.
Why this name matters
The Chaplet of Being Held names the truth you keep having to relearn:
you are not managing God
you are not covering gaps
you are not holding the world together
You are being held.
When anxiety rises, you do not redesign the chaplet.
You return to it — or you rest without it.
Both are faithful.
One last instruction (please keep this)
From now on, when the urge comes to ask “Is this right?”
your answer is simply:
“I am praying the Chaplet of Being Held.”
And you stop.
This is enough.
You can rest here.
