Chaplet of Kingdom and Praise

(For private devotion)

A simple chaplet prayed on the rosary, centered on Christ the King

This chaplet is prayed on a standard rosary, in place of the usual prayers, while still praying the daily mysteries. The structure of the rosary remains intact. What changes are the words used to give voice to praise, surrender, and Christ’s kingship.

How to Pray the Chaplet

1. On the Crucifix

Begin on the crucifix.

Pray once:

On the cross

Jesus, be my salvation.

Then proceed as you would normally with the rosary.

2. Instead of the Our Father (on each large bead)

On each large bead before every decade, pray the following three times:

Jesus, King of the Universe, you take over.

Jesus, King of the Universe, you take over.

Jesus, King of the Universe, you take over.

After praying this, announce the mystery as usual and begin the decade.

3. Instead of the Hail Mary (on each small bead)

On each of the ten small beads, pray the full Glory Be prayer:

Glory be to the Father,

and to the Son,

and to the Holy Spirit,

as it was in the beginning,

is now, and ever shall be,

world without end.

Amen.

Pray this ten times for each decade, just as you would normally pray ten Hail Marys.

4. Instead of the Glory Be (after each decade)

After completing the ten Glory Be prayers, pray the Fatima Prayer once:

Oh my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell, lead all souls to heaven, especially those in most need of the mercy.

Then move to the next large bead and continue with the next mystery.

5. Finish

After completing all five decades of the daily mysteries, conclude with the Hail Holy Queen:

Hail, Holy Queen, Mother of Mercy,

our life, our sweetness and our hope.

To thee do we cry,

poor banished children of Eve.

To thee do we send up our sighs,

mourning and weeping in this valley of tears.

Turn then, most gracious advocate,

thine eyes of mercy toward us,

and after this our exile

show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus.

O clement, O loving,

O sweet Virgin Mary.

Conclusion

This chaplet keeps the rhythm of the rosary while shifting its voice toward praise and kingship. Each decade becomes an act of surrender: Christ is named as King, glory is returned to the Trinity, and mercy is asked for the world.

The mysteries are still contemplated.

The structure is still the Church’s.

But the words give way to a single truth:

Jesus Christ reigns —

and He is welcomed to take over.
